Job Summary A Software Development Engineer in Test III (SDET III) will drive high quality software delivery through advanced test automation, continuous testing practices, and strong engineering discipline. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks integrated into CI/CD/CT pipelines to validate new and existing features across diverse applications and data products. You will apply investigative, architectural, and implementation skills to ensure that all delivered solutions meet The Standard’s functional, performance, and reliability expectations. Evaluate multiple testing technologies and integrate them into existing or new solutions. Apply investigative thinking to design effective testing approaches. Build and automate application and data product testing processes. Apply industry standard toolsets, testing methodologies, and data management techniques including synthetic data and masking.
- Ability to work in office in Bengaluru, India is a requirement of the role. Mode of Working: This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on-site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment. Skills And Background You’ll Need Education: A Bachelor's degree is required. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred. Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in software testing and test automation
- Expertise in CI/CD/CT pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred), including pipeline automation, test gating strategies, build health monitoring, and integrating automated tests across stages.
- Proficiency in UI, Backend, APIs and microservices testing, including REST API schema validation, performance validation, and mocking/stubbing dependent services.
- Solid understanding of Object ‑Oriented design, test design patterns, and best practices for building modular, reusable automation frameworks.
- Experience with synthetic data creation, test data management, masking, and data quality rule automation to support high‑ fidelity‑ testing in regulated environments.
- Working knowledge of performance and load testing tools, debugging distributed test failures, and improving observability through logs, metrics, and dashboards.
- Critical thinking with strong attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in team based‑ environments. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience working in a GCC environment is highly preferred. Key Behaviors of a Successful Candidate
