Process Engineer (Dahej)

Location: Dahej, Bharuch Position: Sr. Executive, Chemical Process Engineer. Experience: 8 to 9 Year Experience, Qualification: B-Tech / M-Tech Chemical Engineering from Reputed Institute. Department: Technical Services Reports To: Project Head Note: Job Starting should be from Process Engineering only. Process Development and Optimization
- Material balance, stoichiometric calculations and energy balance.
- Unit operations like Distillation, Heat Exchanger, dryer extraction related calculation.
- Basic Knowledge of instruments and control for process engineering
- Developing PFD/P&ID; and developing basic engineering data.
- Design and develop new chemical processes from lab to pilot scale.
- Optimize existing chemical processes to improve yield, efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Scale up chemical reactions from laboratory to production levels. Research & Innovation
- Conduct research on new chemical reactions, catalysts, raw materials, and technologies.
- Evaluate alternative chemical pathways and materials for sustainable and green chemistry.
- Stay updated on industry trends and academic research to propose innovative solutions. ¢ Experimental Design & Testing
- Plan and conduct experiments using design of experiments (DoE) methodology.
- Analyze and interpret lab and pilot-scale experimental data to inform process decisions.
- Develop and validate process models using simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD, MATLAB). ¢ Process Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Perform risk assessments (e.g., HAZOP, PHA) on new or modified processes. ¢ Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams for process transfer and troubleshooting.
- Participate in cross-functional project teams from concept through commercialization. ¢ Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate experimental records, lab notebooks, and scale-up data logs.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and management. ¢ Cost and Feasibility Analysis
- Conduct techno-economic analysis of current processes and technologies.
- Evaluate raw material sourcing, energy usage, and waste treatment to ensure economic viability. ¢ Sustainability & Environmental Focus
- Develop processes that reduce energy consumption, waste generation, and emissions.
