Junior Engineer - Mechanical, Dahej

Job Description Job Purpose Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot issues in furnaces, rolling mills, conveyors, cranes, pumps, compressors , and other mechanical systems. Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and calibration of machinery.Support production teams during machine changeovers, shutdowns, and emergencies . Maintain and update maintenance logs, checklists, and spare parts records . Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for recurring issues. Follow all plant safety rules , participate in safety audits and toolbox talks.Identify opportunities for cost reduction, equipment improvement, and efficiency enhancement . Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and technical documents . Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repair tasks. Required Skills (Points) Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems .Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics . Hands-on skills in welding, fabrication, and basic machining (preferred). Familiarity with TPM, 5S, and Kaizen systems (advantage). Good problem-solving and communication skills. Willingness to work in rotational shifts if required.
