Your key responsibilities:
- Team Leadership- Lead and mentor a QC team in a specific area (e.g., GC, Sensory, Wet Chemistry). Organize shifts, assign responsibilities, and ensure adequate staffing schedules to meet throughput.
- Perform Lab Tests: Independently perform routine and non-routine quality control tests using various analytical and instrumental methods, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications. Complete required data entries and transactions in relevant quality or lab systems.
- Investigation Deviation Management : Manage out-of-specification (OOS) investigations. Lead non-conformance and deviation workflows through to effective resolution.
- Ensure Compliance: Make sure all QC activities align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Equipment Ownership: Oversee the lab equipment maintenance schedule and carry out basic maintenance tasks.
- Support Method Implementation: Assist in introducing recent testing methods and equipment, including validation activities and drafting procedures in the document management system.
- Drive Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to enhance quality control processes and implement corrective actions to improve product quality.
- Training and Competency: Provide training and guidance to new QC technicians on procedures, equipment use, and safety practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production, engineering, and management to plan lab-related CAPEX and resolve quality concerns.
- Support Audits: Participate in internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Flexibility:Perform additional tasks as required to support lab and business operations. You bring.
- Bachelors degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or Quality Management (required).
- 8+ years in the food, flavor, ingredients, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in the local language and English is required.
