We are currently looking for a proactive and experienced Machine Maintenance In-Charge to lead our maintenance department and ensure our production lines run flawlessly. Role Summary The Machine Maintenance In-Charge will oversee the daily maintenance operations across our entire plastic manufacturing plant. You will lead a team of technicians, coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of plastic processing machinery (such as injection moulding machines, blow moulding machines, grinders, ancilary machines etc), and ensure maximum machine uptime while adhering to all safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop, schedule, and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all plant machinery, chillers, compressors, and auxiliary equipment.
- Breakdown Resolution: Lead the rapid diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults to minimise production downtime.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and fitters, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain an optimal inventory of essential spare parts, tools, and consumables.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and industry standards.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, machine history cards, and equipment performance reports for plant management.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external service engineers and equipment suppliers for specialized repairs and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs). Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on maintenance experience in the plastic manufacturing industry (experience with Injection Molding, Blow Molding, or Extrusion machinery is mandatory).
- Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical panels, and PLC-controlled machinery.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, schedule, and motivate a team of technicians on the shop floor.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work efficiently under pressure. What We Offer
