Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fiber Engineer role based in Dhanbad & Deoghar Cluster. The Fiber Engineer will be responsible for the survey, planning, and detailed engineering design of optical fiber and related outside plant (OSP) infrastructure for telecom and pipeline-linked projects. The candidate must have knowledge of FF1 Capturing in Airtel Works Portal. The role involves collaborating with project managers, field teams, and vendors to meet design standards, safety requirements, and project timelines. The Fiber Engineer will also support documentation, as-built drawings, quality checks, and troubleshooting of fiber networks during deployment and maintenance phases. Qualifications
- Robust knowledge of OFC Rollout (OSP) infrastructure, including field survey, route planning, and construction practices for underground and aerial installations.
- Experience of Fiber Force capturing in Airtel Works Portal , including preparation of network schematics, BoQ, and as-built documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Fibre and Optical Fiber Rollout Execution , testing (OTDR, power meter), and fault localization.
- Project Management skills to plan work schedules, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, track progress, and support timely project delivery.
- Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma or degree in Engineering (Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, GIS maps, and construction standards for telecom and infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with safety standards and quality control procedures for field and construction environments.
