Position: Senior Tender & Estimation Engineer
Industry: Electrical Contracting / Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC)
Location: Bhandup, Mumbai
Experience Required: 3–5 Years
Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and agile Senior Tender & Estimation Engineer with sound knowledge of electrical installation works, estimation, and tendering processes for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
The candidate should possess solid technical knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to independently handle tendering activities from study of tender documents to submission and client coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Responsibilities Detailed study of tender documents, drawings, BOQ, and specifications. Identifying discrepancies in drawings and BOQ and obtaining clarifications from clients/consultants. Preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimations. Obtaining quotations and rates from suppliers/vendors and conducting market rate analysis. Detailed study of commercial terms including Payment Terms, EMD, BG, DD, etc. Revising and resubmitting BOQs as per client requirements. Preparing quotations and rate analysis for extra/additional items on priority basis. Preparing and submitting tenders through ERP systems.
External Responsibilities Follow-up and coordination with clients regarding tender status and clarifications. Interaction with vendors and suppliers for competitive pricing. Conducting market surveys for latest material and labour rates. Attending negotiation meetings in the absence of the Tender Manager.
Desired Skills Robust technical knowledge of Electrical Installation Works. Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel. Knowledge of ERP-based tendering systems. Good communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Candidate Profile Experience in Electrical Contracting / EPC industry preferred. Knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical projects. Capable of handling multiple tenders simultaneously.
