Database Engineer (Mumbai)

Job Description:
- Handle large-scale database migration activities with minimal downtime and proper data validation.
- Perform SQL query tuning to improve application response time and reduce latency.
- Analyze and optimize execution plans, joins, indexes, and query performance.
- Design and implement effective indexing and partitioning strategies for large datasets.
- Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks including CPU, I/O, locking, and deadlock issues.
- Optimize database performance for high TPS systems, batch processing, and API interactions.
- Monitor database health, resource utilization, and connection pool performance.
- Implement data archival and retention strategies for long-term database stability.
- Automate database deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and health-check activities using scripting.
- Ensure database security standards including encryption, masking, and PII/PHI compliance.
- Support production incidents, UAT activities, release deployments, and SDLC processes.
