The role involves designing and improving printing and packaging machinery, ensuring high quality engineering standards and timely project execution. . Important Note: This role is for candidates with hands-on experience in industrial machine design (printing/packaging or similar equipment). Profiles from non-machine design backgrounds (e.g., civil, product design, HVAC, automobile service, etc.) will not be considered. . Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop machine drawings and assemblies for printing and packaging equipment
- Integrate mechanical designs with basic electrical and control system requirements
- Interpret and work alongside electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control layouts
- Improve existing machine designs and optimize performance
- Review and validate detailed drawings and design documentation
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and detailed costing for machines and assemblies (including basic electrical components)
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure manufacturing as per design specifications
- Ensure functionality, performance, and proper system integration of designed products
- Create and manage part codes, BOMs, and inventory data in ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including electrical and Test engineers) to complete projects on time. . Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in machine design or industrial equipment (printing/packaging preferred)
- Solid proficiency in SolidWorks
- Basic understanding of electrical systems in machinery (motors, sensors, actuators, control panels)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings (wiring diagrams, schematics)
- Familiarity with BOM management and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills . Nice to Have
- Basic exposure to PLC-controlled systems or industrial automation
