Veterinarian, Mumbai

At Raksha, we're on a mission to provide compassionate, high-quality care to community and abandoned animals—primarily dogs and cats. We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Veterinarian to join our growing team full-time and make a real, on-ground impact. Role As a Veterinarian at Raksha, you will be responsible for delivering medical care, performing surgeries, and ensuring the overall well-being of animals under our care.Key Responsibilities• Diagnose and treat illnesses in dogs and cats • Perform routine and emergency surgeries (sterilizations, wound management, etc.) • Administer vaccinations and preventive care • Develop treatment plans and monitor recovery • Maintain accurate medical records • Guide and train support staff and volunteers• Ensure hygiene and medical protocols are followed Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc&AH) or equivalent• Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on clinical experience • Experience with small animals (dogs&cats) is essential• Strong surgical skills preferred • Compassionate, patient, and committed to animal welfare • Ability to work in a fast-paced, resource-constrained environment What We Offer • Meaningful, purpose-driven work • Opportunity to work on high-impact animal welfare initiatives• Supportive and passionate team • Scope to grow into leadership roles If you're someone who combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion , we'd love to hear from you.
