Primary Responsibilities And Accountabilities (Key duties or essential priorities for fulfilling the job's purpose) Responsible for transferring motion from a Hierarchy to another (Retargeting) independently and proficiently Adhering to the performance of the actors using non-destructive modification of motion to work with the requirements of the sequence, pushing and leading to the highest quality of workAdjusting interaction and contacts between characters/props/environment/terrain, with a deep knowledge and understanding of human and creature motion editing. Superb techniques and eye for Blending body motions Improving the performance by adding fingers/toe/tail animation and body adjustments that includes enhancing posture, gesture and weight.Support and mentor more junior members of the team, troubleshooting, teaching techniques and pushing the quality and standard. Job Requirements (Education, Experience And Skills/Competencies) Education / Experience: Computer Science, Computer Visualisation or Computer Animation degree or equivalent experienceExpert in Maya and Motion Builder with Previous experience within motion-captured performances Proven experience in high end filmVFX and an up to date showreel. Required Skills / Competencies: Excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Excellent Problem solving skills Expert understanding of retargeting techniques (transferring motion from one character to another)Solid understanding of the principles of Animation Proactive in problem solving, with a keen eye to catch, analyze and identify technical issues Sharp eyes for motion, timing and posture. Background in using Maya and/or Motion Builder Background in using Linux and Vicon Shogun Post is a plus. Excellent collaborative skillsEagerness to learn and develop
