Description We are looking for a tenured Software Development Manager to lead our Amazon Payments initiatives across multiple geographies. This is a mission-critical role driving innovation, scale, and compliance for Amazon Payments. Key job responsibilities . Lead high-performing engineering teams delivering reliable, highly available software for critical and complex systems.. Partner with Product Managers and global stakeholders to define strategy and roadmap. . Drive architecture and design decisions that shape Amazon's Payments backbone. . Integrate GenAI and predictive analytics to simplify reconciliations, automate workflows, and enable proactive risk management.. About the team The Amazon Payments team is responsible for developing the platform and applications used to introduce new and innovative payment methods to customers as well as support Amazon's global Co Branded and Private label credit cards along with the world's largest rewards catalog, Shop with Points.Basic Qualifications - 7+ years of engineering experience - 3+ years of engineering team management experience - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience - Experience partnering with product or program management teams - Bachelor's degree Preferred Qualifications- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineersOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
