Senior Database / Platform Engineering Consultant, Mumbai

About the role Work with a high-growth, US-based AI-first product company Build and scale production-grade data and platform infrastructure High-ownership role with direct impact on core systems What we're looking for 8–12 years in database / platform engineering Strong IC with experience in production systems at scaleStartup or fast-paced environment preferred Core skills Deep expertise in MySQL / PostgreSQL (TB-scale systems) Strong understanding of performance, scaling, HA/DR, replication Hands-on with Kubernetes (stateful workloads) Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP Familiarity with Terraform / Helm or similar toolingNice to have Exposure to LLMs / AI tooling (APIs, automation, workflows) Experience with database proxies (e.g., ProxySQL) Systems&operations Strong Bash / Python scripting Solid Linux debugging skills (CPU, memory, disk, networking) Experience handling production issues, on-call, incident response What matters Hands-on problem solver Automation-first mindset Comfortable owning systems end-to-end Role structure Contract role (20 hrs/week)Requires daily overlap with US time zones Built for high-output individual contributors
