Production Manager (Automative Manufacturing), Mumbai

A leader hire in the Automotive Manufacturing sector supporting high-volume OEM and Tier-1 supply chains. The role is embedded in on-site production operations focused on assembly, stamping, machining, and sub-assembly lines that deliver JIT components and finished modules to passenger and commercial vehicle manufacturers.Role&Responsibilities Drive daily production execution to meet schedule, quality and cost targets while maximising OEE and throughput. Lead implementation of Lean, 5S, TPM and continuous-improvement initiatives to reduce waste and cycle time. Own production planning and shop-floor material flow in coordination with purchasing, logistics and suppliers using ERP systems.Enforce quality systems (first-pass yield, in-line inspections) and collaborate with QA to resolve non-conformances via root-cause analysis and 8D. Coordinate maintenance, breakdown response and spare-parts strategy to minimise downtime and improve equipment availability.
