Job Title Senior Manager - Customs Location Pune Responsibilities - Manage all Export-Import (EXIM) operational activities, ensuring full compliance with customs regulations and procedures. - Ensure timely and accurate availing of concessional duty benefits and adherence to related statutory requirements.- Liaise effectively with Customs Brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely clearance of imported goods. - Maintain accurate records under the MOOWR scheme, ensuring timely submissions, return filings, and adherence to regulatory requirements. - Provide strategic and operational support on customs-related policy matters, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory timelines.- Assist in managing ongoing customs litigation and provide inputs for advocacy on operational issues with relevant authorities. - Assess eligibility for FTA benefits and oversee their implementation to optimize cost savings and compliance. - Analyze and validate HSN classifications in line with customs guidelines and ensure accurate valuation practices.- Ensure timely filing of Contingent Liability, CARO, Risk Assessment Statements, and other financial schedules preparation and reconciliation related to customs. - Manage customs audits across all premises, ensuring full regulatory compliance and readiness. - Support compliance with Special Valuation Branch (SVB) requirements.- Represent the company before various government authorities on customs-related matters, ensuring effective communication and resolution. Desired Candidate Profile - Functional knowledge of Indirect Taxes including Customs&FTP (must have). - Leadership behavior: Experience managing a team. - Educational qualifications: CA, CMA, B.Com / M.Com / LLB or MBA; Diploma in Foreign Trade an advantage. - Language proficiency: English, Hindi, Marathi. - Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in EXIM area. - Skills&competencies: Tax regulation. Additional Competencies The role requires strong managerial and administrative capabilities, including the ability to plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day operations. The incumbent will coordinate resources, ensure compliance with organizational policies, monitor performance metrics, and foster effective communication across teams.
