PPC Engineer (Chikhali)

The PPC Engineer will be responsible for complete production planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production flow and on-time delivery of customer orders. The role requires robust mechanical engineering knowledge, CNC machining understanding, VMC operations planning, and grinding process coordination to effectively plan manufacturing schedules and optimize machine utilization. The position will coordinate with production, purchase, quality, store, and dispatch departments to maintain smooth manufacturing operations and ensure production targets are achieved efficiently. Key Roles & Responsibilities 1. Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand and delivery schedules.
- Prepare machine-wise production schedules for CNC, VMC, and grinding machines.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to meet delivery commitments.
- Ensure smooth workflow across machining, grinding, inspection, and dispatch stages.
- Maintain production planning records and documentation. 2. Mechanical & Process Knowledge
- Apply strong mechanical engineering knowledge to understand manufacturing processes and production flow.
- Understand engineering drawings, GD&T;, tolerances, and machining processes.
- Analyze machining cycle times and process capabilities for planning.
- Support production teams in resolving technical and process-related issues.
- Ensure proper planning based on machining sequence and manufacturing process requirements. 3. CNC, VMC & Grinding Process Planning
- Plan production operations based on CNC machining, VMC operations, and precision grinding processes.
- Understand machine capacity, cycle times, and setup times.
- Ensure efficient utilization of machines and resources.
- Monitor machining productivity and identify improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate with production supervisors to resolve machine-related issues. 4. Capacity Planning & Machine Utilization
- Prepare machine capacity planning reports.
- Ensure optimal utilization of CNC, VMC, and grinding machines.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective actions.
- Plan machine loading to maximize productivity and reduce idle time. 5. Material Planning & Inventory Management
- Coordinate with purchase and store departments to ensure availability of raw materials.
- Prepare material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules.
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Ensure uninterrupted production flow by maintaining proper inventory levels. 6. Production Monitoring & Control
- Track daily production performance against planned schedules.
- Monitor production delays, machine breakdowns, and material shortages.
- Implement corrective actions to maintain production targets.
- Ensure proper documentation of production activities. Pay: ₹20,000.00
