Design Trainee Engineer (Dobbaspet)

Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Trainee We are looking for a highly motivated Diploma or Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Design Department as a Trainee. This role involves working on the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment used in industrial applications. The candidate will get hands-on experience with 2D & 3D CAD software, mechanical design principles, BOM preparation, and real-world engineering challenges. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior design engineers in the development of mechanical components and systems.
- Create and modify 2D/3D CAD models and engineering drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Support the preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM), GA drawings, and detailed fabrication drawings.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve functionality and manufacturability
- Coordinate with production, quality, and procurement departments to ensure design feasibility.
- Perform basic engineering calculations (load, stress, material selection, etc.) under supervision.
- Maintain documentation and design records as per company standards.
- Continuously upgrade skills through on-the-job learning and training sessions.
- On-site project visits as necessary.
- Submission of weekly, monthly, and yearly reports Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical engineering.
- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience
- Knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks for 3D modelling and AutoCAD for 2D drafting
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
