Electrical Design Engineer (Dobbaspet)

Electrical Design Engineer Role Summary We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer with minimum 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and machine electrical design. The candidate will be responsible for developing electrical design documents, control schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs for automation equipment, batching plants, filling machines, and other industrial systems. The ideal candidate should possess robust technical knowledge in electrical systems, control panel engineering, industrial components, and applicable electrical standards. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), control wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, panel layout drawings, and BOMs using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent software.
- Perform electrical design calculations, component sizing, cable selection, and protection selection for industrial automation systems.
- Select suitable electrical and control components including MCCBs, contactors, relays, VFDs, PLCs, power supplies, sensors, and instrumentation devices.
- Prepare detailed panel layouts and support panel manufacturing activities.
- Coordinate with customers, project teams, and marketing departments to understand technical requirements and prepare system specifications.
- Work closely with Mechanical, Automation, Software, and Production teams for successful project execution.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for technical clarifications, component selection, and procurement support.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industrial standards and customer specifications.
- Support installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and modifications when required.
- Maintain proper project documentation and engineering records. Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and automation equipment design.
- Hands-on experience in AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent electrical design software.
- Good understanding of control panel engineering and industrial wiring practices.
- Knowledge of PLC systems, VFDs, sensors, instrumentation, and industrial communication basics.
- Familiarity with switchgears, protection devices, power distribution systems, and control circuits.
- Understanding of electromechanical systems and pneumatics.
- Good knowledge of electrical standards and compliances such as IEC, NFPA 70, CE/UL, IP ratings, EMI/EMC, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. Qualification & Experience
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation or machine manufacturing industries.
- Experience in batching systems, filling machines, process automation, or OEM machine design will be an added advantage. Preferred Qualities

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Strong problem-solving approach and attention to detail.
