Senior Software Architect Location: Kolkata / Hyderabad, India Work Arrangement: Hybrid– 3 days per week in office About the Role As a Senior Software Architect, you will lead the design of a cloud-native, LLM-powered web application that transforms unstructured documents into structured data. You will work closely with product owners and development teams to ensure architectural decisions align with product and business priorities — communicating complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders and enabling effective, timely decision-making. You will be part of a globally distributed team spanning Europe, India, and the US, bringing broad and deep engineering experience, strong modelling skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and mentorship.Your Role Responsibilities– Here's What You'll Do - Lead the design and architecture of a cloud-native, LLM-powered web application, ensuring alignment with product priorities and business outcomes across a globally distributed team - Collaborate closely with product owners and development teams to translate businessgoals and functional requirements into innovative, scalable architectural solutions- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders, enabling alignment and sound decision-making across cross-functional teams - Make timely and well-reasoned design decisions across multiple technology stacks, balancing architectural quality, scalability, security, and business needs- Develop and maintain advanced software models covering information, domain, process, state, security, logical, and physical architectural views - Mentor and coach team members on architectural principles and engineering best practices; drive continuous improvement of team capabilities and overall architectural qualityRole Essentials– What You'll Need - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 8+ years of professional software engineering experience across multiple technical and commercial environments - Advanced working experience with software design patterns, architecture patterns, and quality attributes- Advanced software modelling skills covering information, domain, process, state, security, logical, and physical architectural views - Direct development experience across two or more technology stacks (e.g., Angular, TypeScript, C#) - Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to persuade and influence stakeholders across cross-functional rolesWhat We'd Like to See– Preferred Skills - Experience designing cloud-native applications and working with LLM-powered or AI-driven solutions - Experience with Azure - Strong knowledge of modern software development lifecycle processes from product conception through deployment - Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members on architectural and engineering best practices- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the courage to take ownership and make timely decisions in ambiguous situations - Experience working effectively with globally distributed teams and external partners or customers Equal Opportunity Statement Hyland is an equal opportunity employer.
