Description
*Job Description: Account Manager – Sales & Services with GEM Portal Knowledge* *Role Summary* Manages client accounts, drives sales, and handles post-sale service for govt & private clients. Uses the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal for bidding, order processing, and compliance. *Key Responsibilities*
- *Sales & Business Development*
- Identify new govt/PSU/private clients and generate leads
- Pitch products/services and close deals to meet monthly/quarterly targets
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts
- *Account Management*
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients
- Act as single point of contact for all client queries, escalations, and service requests
- Conduct regular client meetings, reviews, and feedback sessions
- *GeM Portal Operations*
- Register company, update catalogs, manage product/service listings on GeM
- Monitor new tenders/bids/RA/Bid Participation on GeM and submit timely bids
- Handle order acceptance, invoicing, payment tracking, and CRAC on GeM
- Ensure compliance with GeM GTC, STC, and SLA guidelines
- *Service & Delivery Coordination*
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, and support teams for timely delivery
- Track installation, commissioning, AMC/CMC, and warranty services
- Resolve service issues, ensure client satisfaction, and reduce TAT
- *Documentation & Reporting*
- Maintain sales pipeline, bid records, order status, and payment reports
- Prepare MIS reports for management on revenue, targets, and GeM performance
- Handle tender documentation: EMD, PBG, technical bids, financial bids *Required Skills & Qualifications*
- *Experience*: 2-5 years in B2B sales, key account management, or govt sales
- *GeM Knowledge*: Hands-on with GeM seller panel – bids, RA, catalog mgmt, invoicing, payments
- *Technical*: MS Excel, CRM tools, tender documentation, basic contract law
- *Soft Skills*: Negotiation, communication, client handling, problem-solving
- *Education*: Graduate in any stream. MBA/PGDM in Sales/Marketing preferred *KPIs* 1. Monthly sales revenue vs target 2. GeM bid win rate & order value 3. Client retention & satisfaction score 4.
