As a growing scientific communications agency, we are seeking a driven leader (designation will be Manager, Quality and Training) to take on this pivotal role that spearheads the training and development of budding writers transitioning into medical communications. Responsibilities encompass crafting an intensive onboarding program, offering comprehensive feedback on deliverables across Med Comms, Med Info and publications, ensuring timely completion of training, and driving ongoing skill enhancement. Please note: We are a remote-first organization, and we embrace an "accelerate from anywhere culture". You may be required to travel based on business requirements or for company/team events. Responsibilities
- Train and prepare current writers with no prior medical communications experience to work in a high-performance team via an intensive onboarding program aimed at developing both core writing and soft skills necessary to be successful as a scientific writer in a fast-paced agency
- Help trainees understand client needs and expectations from agency medical writers to facilitate their transition from academia to a career in medical communications
- Review and provide detailed feedback on writing different types of publications and/or medcomms deliverables
- Ensure trainees complete the onboarding training program (internal and external) in a timely manner while meeting training benchmarks
- Ongoing skill development for the writing team based on client and internal reviewer feedback and evolving industry and business needs
- Translate client feedback to training requirements
- Plan and execute annual training plans based on needs assessments
- Develop new training modules or refresh existing content
