Job Summary The Senior Accounts Manager (Finance) is a key leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management of the company's financial operations, accounting, and compliance functions. This role ensures the accuracy of financial reporting, manages taxation, oversees statutory audits, and provides timely financial analysis to support strategic decision-making in a rapidly growing FMCG environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Reporting & General Accounting
- Oversee the end-to-end accounting cycle, including the general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and fixed asset management.
- Prepare and finalise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS/AS).
- Conduct detailed variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, providing insightful commentary to senior management. 2. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Manage all direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST (Goods and Services Tax), TDS (Tax Deducted at Source), and Income Tax filings.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) with books of accounts.
- Coordinate and manage statutory audits, internal audits, and tax assessments, serving as the primary liaison for external auditors. 3. Financial Planning & Control
- Assist in the annual budgeting process and development of financial forecasts for all business units (Procurement, Production, Sales, Logistics).
- Implement and monitor internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data, particularly across inventory and trade expenditure.
- Monitor cash flow and treasury operations, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs. 4. Inventory & Costing Management
- Work closely with the Dispatch and Production teams to establish accurate standard costing for all finished goods (grains, spices, jaggery, oils).
- Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation, and obsolescence management, ensuring accurate reflection of stock in financial records.
- Analyze production costs, material usage variances, and procurement efficiency to identify cost-saving opportunities. Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in finance and accounts, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity, preferably within the FMCG or Manufacturing sectors.
- Skills:
- Proven expertise in statutory compliance and direct/indirect taxation (GST, Income Tax).
- Robust working knowledge of Tally, is must.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
