Lead Design Engineer (Faridabad)

To enable us to fully deliver our projects we are looking for an creative and passionate Lead Protection Substation Engineer to work on projects from initial concept and feasibility through to procurement specification, construction and commissioning. The successful candidate will have the chance to work on a wide variety of EHV (up to 400kV) substation design aspects, and our project program facilitates the roll-out of substation construction works from 11kV up to 400kV, along with providing support for increasing customer connection activity.

Job Description Lead protection design engineer:
-
- Head team of 2-3 engineers and CAD.
- Keep project on track and achieve required milestones for the project.
- Liaise with Project managers and Head of engineering.
- Report status of each project.
- Checking and approving senior engineer design works.
- Responsible for yearly appraisal and development activities of team members and report to head of engineering.

What we’re looking for
- HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering with proven experience in a related engineering discipline;
- The ability to technically assess and solve issues, with a thorough understanding of the technical requirements of the protection aspects of the projects;
- Experience all voltages of transmission voltage plant and equipment is advantageous;
- Ideally experience in preparing and manipulating engineering drawings, using computer-aided design tools (e.g. AutoCAD) as this is the main tool we use;
- Be willing to travel and participate in site meetings throughout the UK when necessary.

Technical skills but not limited to:
- Taking lead on Meetings for protection design part for each substation
- Develop Key line diagram -Concept (even when no protection design of concept is given from client side)
- Settings calculations
- CT/VT selection and calculation
- Wiring diagram
- Termination diagram
- Battery sizing
- Meeting with clients and working with multiple standards
