Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic R&D; professional to drive product development, testing, and continuous improvement for Iron Box and Small Kitchen Appliance categories. The role involves working across product lifecycle stages, from concept to validation, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and reliable products. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct product testing and validation (life testing, reliability testing, BIS compliance, benchmarking, etc.)
- Manage new product costing and drive value engineering initiatives to achieve margin targets
- Support vendor identification, evaluation, and development
- Ensure projects follow NPD stage gate process
- Handle PLM and Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes
- Perform competitive benchmarking as per business requirements
- Drive continuous product improvement initiatives and reduce failure rates
- Plan and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)
- Mentor R&D; activities and provide strategic/tactical direction
- Collaborate with Service, Quality, and Cross-Functional Teams Candidate Requirements
- Experience:
- 34 years (Engineer)
- 67 years (Sr. Engineer)
- Mandatory experience in Iron Box & Small Kitchen Appliances R&D;
- Education:
- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- Technical Skills:
- Robust knowledge of BIS standards & product testing
- Hands-on experience in NPD stage-gate processes
- Exposure to product benchmarking & validation
- Other Requirements:
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
