- Plan and prepare authentic Chinese cuisine menus and specialty dishes.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff and junior chefs.
- Maintain consistency in food taste, presentation, and portioning.
- Develop new recipes and seasonal menu items.
- Monitor food inventory, stock levels, and kitchen supplies.
- Control food costs, wastage, and kitchen expenses.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Coordinate with restaurant management regarding menu planning and customer feedback.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Ensure timely preparation and delivery of food during service hours.
- Handle vendor coordination for quality ingredients and supplies. Requirements
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef specializing in Chinese cuisine.
- Solid knowledge of traditional and modern Chinese cooking techniques.
- Ability to manage high-volume kitchen operations.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Creativity in menu planning and presentation.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Culinary certification or relevant hospitality qualification preferred. Preferred Skills
- Expertise in wok cooking, sauces, dim sum, and oriental cuisine.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
