Procurement Officer, Fort Cochin

Responsibilities:· Coordinate day-to-day procurement activities as per project and department requirements. · Assist in sourcing technical building materials and services (civil, MEP, finishing, utilities). · Obtain quotations from vendors and prepare price comparative statements. · Support vendor evaluationand negotiation under supervision.· Create, track, and follow up on Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO). · Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials to site/location. · Follow up on pending orders and resolve delivery-related issues. · Assist in handling vendor claims related to shortages,damages, or quality issues.· Coordinate with internal teams such as Projects, Finance, Stores, and Logistics. · Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation. · Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and policies. Skills: Must Have: · Exposure to  technical / building / project procurement .· Experience in PR/PO processing and vendor coordination. · Working knowledge of  ERP purchase modules  (SAP MM / Oracle / similar). · Proficiency in  MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint . Should Have: · Knowledge of technical building materials (civil, electrical, plumbing, HVAC – preferred).· Basic understanding of procurement documentation and compliance. · Good communication, coordination, and follow-up skills. · Attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Good to Have: · Experience in construction or project-based environments. · Exposure to logistics coordination andmaterial tracking.· Experience working with multi-site projects.
