Job Title: Software Tester (QA Engineer – Core Testing with Development Exposure) Company: Netspeq Solutions Location: Indira Bypass Road, Near K.B.T Petrol Pump, Barpipal, Sichey, Gangtok – 737101 Department: Software Development Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary Netspeq Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented Software Tester (QA Engineer) whose primary responsibility will be ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of applications. The role focuses on core testing activities, with secondary involvement in development tasks such as minor bug fixes, code understanding, and automation support. This position is ideal for candidates who prioritize quality but are also comfortable working with code when required. Key Responsibilities Primary – Testing & QA
- Analyze requirements and prepare detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and usability testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using standard tools.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman.
- Validate fixes and ensure application stability before release.
- Ensure software meets business requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain proper QA documentation and reports. Secondary – Development Support
- Assist developers in debugging and reproducing issues.
- Perform minor bug fixes under guidance (if required).
- Understand application code and workflows for better testing coverage.
- Support basic automation testing (Selenium or similar tools).
- Contribute to improving test automation and CI/CD quality processes. Technical Skills Required
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience in manual testing and test case design.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (Jira, Zoho, etc.).
- Knowledge of API testing (Postman or similar).
- Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Working knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts (.NET / JavaScript preferred).
- Familiarity with Git/version control systems.
- Knowledge of automation testing tools is a plus. Required Competencies
