Job Description (JD No: BTSPL-DC-2026-001) Position: IT Infrastructure / Data Center Operations Department: Infrastructure & Security Services Company: Bitchief Technology Services Private Limited Location:Gaya Data Center Employment Type: Full time Experience Required: 0–2 Years Job Type: Entry Level to Mid Level Company Overview Bitchief Technology Services Private Limited is a leading IT solutions provider offering end-to-end technology services including Cloud, Security, Data Services, and Facility Management. We are expanding our Data Center Operations team and seeking skilled professionals to manage critical IT infrastructure ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Key Responsibilities 1. Infrastructure Management
- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage, and network devices.
- Manage virtualization platforms (OLVM).
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity utilization.
- Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate vendor support when required. 2. Data Center Operations
- Manage physical infrastructure including racks, cabling, power distribution units (PDUs), and cooling systems.
- Ensure proper asset labeling, documentation, and rack layouts.
- Handle incident management, change management, and root cause analysis.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all data center activities. 3. Backup, Recovery, and Storage
- Manage backup schedules, verify successful data backups, and perform recovery testing.
- Administer SAN/NAS storage, zoning, and LUN provisioning.
- Support replication and DR (Disaster Recovery) testing activities. 4. Security and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with data center security policies and access controls.
- Coordinate audits for physical and logical infrastructure.
- Maintain records of all access logs and vendor visits. 5. Coordination and Documentation
- Coordinate with OEMs, ISPs, and facility management vendors for issue resolution.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of configurations, network diagrams, and inventory.
- Provide daily and weekly status reports on system health and incidents. Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of server, storage, and networking technologies.
- Experience with OLVM, SAN/NAS, and virtualization platforms.
- Familiarity with backup tools and data recovery mechanisms.
- Understanding of incident, change, and problem management processes.
- Hands-on experience with racks, cabling, power distribution, and cooling systems. Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
- Experience in managing large-scale data center operations.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
- Knowledge of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) implementation.
- Relevant certifications like CCNA, RHCSA, VCP, or ITIL. Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
