Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Staff Engineer with 9 to 13 years of experience to lead front-end architecture and delivery for complex, enterprise-grade web applications. This role is responsible for setting technical direction, driving engineering excellence, and building highly scalable, performant, and user-centric interfaces using modern React-based architectures. The Senior Staff Engineer will act as the front-end technical authority, working closely with product, design, backend, and quality assurance teams. The role requires deep hands-on expertise, architectural maturity, and the ability to mentor senior engineers while ensuring that front-end systems remain robust, maintainable, and aligned with long-term platform strategy. Key Responsibilities ● Lead the design, development, and evolution of large-scale web applications using React.js, TypeScript, Redux Toolkit, and Redux-Saga ● Define and enforce front-end architectural standards, component design principles, and state management strategies ● Build reusable, scalable, and high-performance component libraries using React Hooks, Context API, and modular architectures ● Translate UI and UX designs into high-quality, responsive, and accessible code using HTML, CSS, and SCSS ● Oversee integration with backend services through well-structured RESTful APIs ● Optimise build and deployment pipelines using up-to-date tooling such as Webpack, Babel, NPM, or Yarn ● Ensure application performance, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility standards, and responsiveness ● Lead code reviews, establish quality benchmarks, and drive test coverage through unit and integration testing ● Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA teams in Agile delivery environments ● Mentor senior and mid-level engineers, supporting skill development and technical growth ● Act as the escalation point for complex front-end technical challenges and ensure structured resolution Experience and Profile ● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline ● 9 to 13 years of professional front-end development experience, with at least 8 to 10 years of hands-on React.js experience ● Demonstrated experience delivering scalable, high-performance web applications in production environments ● Strong background in front-end architecture, component-driven design, and state management at scale ● Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams and contributing to technical roadmaps Skills and Attributes ● Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript ● Strong command of React.js, Redux, Redux-Saga, and Redux Toolkit ● Advanced understanding of React Hooks, Context API, and component lifecycle ● Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and SCSS with strong responsive design principles ● Hands-on experience with modern build tools such as Webpack and Babel ● Strong working knowledge of NPM or Yarn for dependency management ● Proficiency with Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration ● Robust focus on performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser support ● Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead complex technical discussions ● Clear communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and design teams Recruitment Process ETPL follows a structured, assessment-led recruitment process focused on long-term fit and capability development.
