Position: Executive
- Color Matcher Job Location: Moxi (Savli -Gujarat) Purpose /Role of the job: Responsible for color matching and field supervision of compounding production under Shift Leader for secure and smooth running. Taking care of safety, product quality, housekeeping and asset care, within Plant area. Support Operators, Color Pigment weighers and Maintenance technicians for smooth coordination. Improve on On-line Color matching, Raw material / Color Pigment consumption yield and reduction of off spec/off grade production. Role & responsibilities 1. SHE Key Result Areas: Key Result Areas: Incident free operations, Adherence to Styrenix Performance Materials Limited SHE guidelines, Compliance with local regulations. 2. Key Result Areas : Online Colour matching Major Activities:
- To match Batch colour against STD Colour Data and checking of product colour at regular interval for verification. Correction in running production if any deviation observed.
- Managing colour pigment packets thru colour weigher for all extruder, aligning with defined recipe, required fine-tuning & Production planning.
- To optimise process parameter to get desired result of new Colour / Grade.
- Optimise pigment dosing, in line with regular colour checking result
- Root cause analysis for abnormal color production & customer complaints. Outcome: To ensure no rejection due to deviation in colour To capture market and stand for competition in market 1. Key Result Areas: Commercial Production of New Colour / Grade Major Activities:
- To optimise process parameter to get desired result of new colour/ Grade.
- Fine tune compounding formulation depending on online QA results.
- To match batch color against Pilot Color Data / color plaque approved by customer and checking of product color at regular interval for verification.
- Optimise pigment dosing. Outcome: Supply of new color / grade is as per customers requirement & with in specification. 1. Key Result Areas: Troubleshooting and co-ordination with Shift Leader Major Activities:
- Investigation and identification of the root cause of problems related to safety performance and quality of the product.
- Support Maintenance departments (Instrumentation, Electrical and Mechanical) during breakdowns & shutdowns. Outcome: Reduction of off grade/off-spec generation. Reduction of downtime of plant equipment, Improved product consistency. 1. Key Result Areas: Maintain Record related to color production & Pigment testing Major Activities:
- Preparation & maintain of pigment test report, FCCR report & all report related to Color production
- Maintain color data in DATA color software
- Review results and entries of data on reports to identify trends or abnormalities when they occur. Outcome: Data is a quality record for ISO audits. Can help to justify internal / External complaint. 1. Key Result Areas: Communication Major Activities:
- Perform clear communication when given operational & Color recipe instructions to respective Operators, Color weighers and also during troubleshooting of problems.
- Communicate properly with Production Manager, Shift Leader, Operators and Quality team to eliminate misunderstanding / confusion and improve response to issues.
- Communicate & coordinate with Stores for colorant receipts & inventory management Outcome: Improve quality of communication for intended implementation of production, plans and investigations. Preferred candidate profile Education: BE/ Diploma in Chemical engineering, Diploma/ PGD in Industrial safety & Degree/Diploma/Certifictate in Fire Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience in SHE functions as Safety officer/executive in chemical manufacturing industry.
