PPC Engineer (Atladara)

Our products serve critical industries including Pharma, Cold Chain, Laboratories, Hospitals, and Process Industries. Job Summary We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented PPC Engineer to manage end-to-end production planning, scheduling, material coordination, and on-time dispatch of our electronic instruments and data logger products. The candidate will serve as the central coordination link between Purchase, Stores, Production, QA, and Dispatch teams — ensuring smooth manufacturing operations, optimum resource utilization, and zero delivery failure to our customers. Key Responsibilities 1. Production Planning
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales orders and customer delivery schedules
- Release Work Orders / Job Cards to production departments
- Plan PCB assembly, wiring, final assembly, testing, and packing stages in sequence
- Plan manpower utilization and workstation capacity in advance
- Manage production scheduling for high-mix, low-volume product workplace (multiple product variants / models)
- Coordinate product model changeovers and batch planning efficiently 2. Production Control & Monitoring
- Track WIP (Work In Progress) at every stage — PCB Assembly → Wiring → Final Assembly → Testing → QC → Packing → Dispatch
- Monitor actual production output vs planned targets on a daily basis
- Identify bottlenecks and drive corrective actions with department leads
- Ensure production and dispatch commitments are met without delay
- Maintain real-time production status reports and escalation dashboards 3. Material Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with Purchase and Stores to ensure 100% material availability before production start
- Monitor shortages of electronic components, PCB, sensors, enclosures, cables, and consumables
- Plan alternate scheduling during material shortages to avoid production stoppages
- Maintain and validate BOM coordination with Design/Engineering, Purchase, and Production teams 4. Interdepartmental Coordination
- Coordinate with QA team for in-process inspection, lot clearance, calibration checks, and final product sign-off
- Coordinate with Dispatch team for packing readiness and shipment planning
- Work closely with Sales team for priority orders, urgent dispatches, and customer delivery commitments
- Follow up with vendors and internal departments for timely material and process closures
- Participate in daily/weekly production review meetings 5. Documentation & MIS Reporting
- Maintain and update ERP / Excel planning sheets on a daily basis
- Prepare and submit: Ø Production Plan vs Actual Report Ø Delay Analysis & Root Cause Report Ø Material Shortage Report Ø Dispatch Planning Report Ø Capacity Utilization Report Ø WIP Status Report Ø First Pass Yield (FPY) tracking support
- Ensure batch traceability records are maintained as per ISO / QMS / customer requirements 6. Process Improvement
- Improve production planning accuracy and reduce schedule deviations
- Reduce production delays, idle time, and unplanned stoppages
- Actively support 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- Suggest and implement workflow improvements for better throughput and on-time delivery KPI / Performance Indicators On-Time Production Completion ≥ 95% On-Time Dispatch to Customer ≥ 98% Production Plan Adherence ≥ 90% Material Shortage Incidents Reduce Month-on-Month WIP Control Within defined norms First Pass Yield (FPY) Tracking Support QA targets Customer Delivery Performance --> Zero escalations Required Technical Skills
- Sound understanding of electronic instrument / product manufacturing process Knowledge of: Ø PCB assembly process Ø Electronic wiring and sub-assembly Ø Product testing and functional verification process Ø BOM structure and component tracking Ø Material flow in a product manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, planning dashboards)
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Understanding of batch traceability and serial number tracking preferred
- Familiarity with ISO QMS documentation is an advantage Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience: 5–10 years in PPC / Production Planning role in an electronic products manufacturing company

- Additional preference for candidates with experience in: Ø High-mix, low-volume (HMLV) product manufacturing Ø Batch traceability and serial number-based production tracking Ø Multi-model product scheduling Ø Compliance-driven manufacturing (ISO / WHO / FDA environment preferred) Behavioral Competencies
