Physiology Intern Kalaburagi (Gulbarga)

Inspire Institute of Sport is looking for a Physiology/ Sports Science Intern to join their team in Bellary.

Position: Exercise Physiology/Sport Science Intern

Reporting to: Head of Performance Science

Location: Vidyanagar, Bellary (Karnataka)

Duration: 4-months

Responsibilities

· To assist with the inter-disciplinary performance systems in place and help create productive and effective delivery of Sport Science support for Junior and Senior athletes.

· Help coordinate and plan the scientific testing and analysis of athletes in accordance with the daily training setting, training camps and competition schedules.

· Work closely with Head Coaches and athletes to plan and deliver sport science support in line with the sport performance plan through integration of the multi-disciplinary team, driving the development and performance outcomes.

· To assist with the preparation of the laboratory, field testing environments, and equipment for athlete testing.

· Ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality control procedures and the accuracy, validity and reliability of analysis.

· Maintain comprehensive testing records and, respecting individual athlete confidentiality, share appropriate levels of information with performance staff (utilizing central database) in a timely manner.

Education/Qualifications/Experience

· An MSc (or equivalent) in Sports Science, or related subject.

· An ISAK Level 1 Accreditation is desirable.

· Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills.

· A valuable understanding of applied research and technology within Sport Science.
