CNC Operator – Job DescriptionJob Summary

A CNC Operator (Computer Numerical Control Operator) is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts from metal, plastic, or other materials as per engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities Operate CNC machines (VMC, lathe, milling, drilling, etc.) Load raw materials and unload finished parts Read and understand engineering drawings / blueprints Monitor machine operations and ensure proper functioning Perform quality checks using measuring tools (vernier, micrometer, gauge) Make minor adjustments to tooling and offsets Conduct trial runs and ensure product accuracy Maintain machine cleanliness and basic maintenance (coolant, lubrication) Follow safety and production guidelines

Required Skills Basic knowledge of CNC machines and G-code (preferred) Ability to read technical drawings Positive math and measurement skills Attention to detail and quality control Basic computer knowledge Problem-solving and troubleshooting ability

Qualification ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or related field Fresher or 1–2 years experience (depending on job level)

Working Conditions Factory / manufacturing workplace Shift-based work (day/night) Standing for long hours Handling machines and tools

Salary (India Approx) Fresher: ₹12,000 – ₹18,000/month Experienced: depends on skill & company
