Sr. Designer Manager - Commercial Interior Projects (Gurugram)

A Senior Designer in a commercial design-and-build firm drives the creative and technical vision from concept to execution. They lead space planning, manage client presentations, and collaborate closely with procurement and construction teams to deliver functional, on-brand, and compliant workplace or retail environments. Role Overview We are seeking a highly creative and strategic Senior Interior Designer to lead commercial interior projects. In this role, you will act as the primary design lead, translating client briefs into innovative workplace and retail environments. Because we operate as a design-and-build firm, you will ensure a seamless handover from the conceptual phase to the final on-site execution Key Responsibilities Design & Concept Development
- Lead the conceptualization and development of commercial interior spaces, including corporate offices, co-working spaces, and retail environments.
- Create comprehensive space plans, test-fits, and 3D visualizations.
- Curate materials, color palettes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E;) that align with the client’s brand and budget. Client Management & Business Development
- Lead client meetings, present design pitches, and articulate design intent with clarity and confidence.
- Incorporate client feedback into revised design iterations while protecting project scope and budget.
- Support business development by contributing to design strategies for client proposals and pitches. Technical Execution & Project Management
- Develop detailed construction documentation, including floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), and millwork details.
- Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and site contractors to maintain design integrity during construction. Team Leadership
- Mentor and provide creative direction to junior designers and draftspersons.
- Review deliverables from the broader design team to ensure high quality and accuracy prior to client or contractor release. Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related spatial design discipline.
- Experience: 5 to 8+ years of professional experience in commercial workplace or retail design.
- Design-Build Mindset: A strong understanding of construction methods, MEP coordination, and material costs to ensure designs are buildable.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional presentation skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Pay: ₹900,000.00
