Insurance Operations Specialist Industry: Life Insurance Type: Full-time Location: Gurgaon, (5 days In person, Saturday, work from home) Experience: Minimum 5 Years Revenue Responsibility:₹20 Crore and above Reporting To: Senior Management / Business Head Role: Deputy Head – Business Development Manager: SalesAbout the Role We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Insurance Operations Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on the backend operations of financial and insurance organizations, and is ideally suited for a professional with hands-on experience working within an insurance intermediary or directly with an insurance company. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of 50–100 applications, handling approximately 100 transactions per month, and will own the complete end-to-end operations journey — from login to issuance, and from proposal submission through proposal acceptance. The role requires strong knowledge of insurance products, with a preference for candidates experienced in life insurance.Key Responsibilities New Business&Policy Processing•       Manage a portfolio of 50–100 insurance applications end-to-end, handling approximately 100 transactions per month across the full policy lifecycle •       Review submissions for completeness and accuracy before creating final quotes, generating payment options and submitting toInsurance Companies•       Coordinate with producers and underwriters to ensure timely policy issuance •       Maintain policy records and documentation •       Manage the complete end-to-end operations journey, from login to issuance and from proposal submission to proposal acceptance, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every stageRenewals&Endorsements•       Manage the renewal cycle, including pre-renewal outreach and connecting RMs where needed •       Process mid-term endorsements, cancellations, and reinstatements accurately and within carrier guidelines •       Track expiration dates and ensure timely follow-up to prevent coverage lapsesCompliance&Regulatory•       Ensure all transactions comply with applicable state regulations, carrier guidelines, and internal procedures •       Maintain up-to-date knowledge of licensing requirements, filing deadlines, and regulatory changes •       Support audits and quality control reviews as requiredMarket&Product Knowledge•       Stay current with market conditions including carrier appetite changes, rate movements, and product developments •       Demonstrate working knowledge of insurance products across personal lines, commercial lines, life, health, and employee benefits •       Assist producersand account managers with coverage explanations and product comparisonsSystems&Reporting•       Maintain accurate data in the agency or policy management system (e.g., Applied Epic, Vertafore, or equivalent) •       Generate operational reports and support management with data as needed •       Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesRequired Qualifications•       5 years of experience in insurance operations, with direct experience at an insurance intermediary or insurance company •       Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with multiple stakeholders including insurers, clients, relationship managers, and internal teams; full fluency in English, both written and spoken.•       Strong working knowledge of insurance operations across multiple product lines and coverages •       Demonstrated understanding of the new business process, policy lifecycle, and renewal workflow •       Basic understanding of medical and financial underwriting principles (e.g., health history, risk classification, eligibility)•       Basic understanding of financial underwriting principles (e.g., financial statements, revenue analysis, risk exposure assessment) •       Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications •       Experience in life insurance operations (preferred)•       Active P&C, Life, or Health insurance license (as applicable to the role)•       Experience working across both commercial and personal lines •       Experience at both an agency/broker level and a carrier level •       Experience supporting producers or account executives in a service or operations capacity
