Telecaller — Insurance Industry: Insurance Type: Full time Location: Gurgaon, (5 days In person, Saturday, work from home) Experience: Minimum 3-5 Years Reporting To: Senior Management / Business Head ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for a confident and customer-focused Telecaller to join our insurance brokerage team. In this role, you will be the primary voice of the company — engaging prospective clients, following up on leads, servicing existing policyholders, and liaising with insurers and other third parties. You will play a key part in generating business, maintaining relationships, and ensuring every interaction reflects the professionalism and trust that defines our brokerage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Client Engagement
- Make outbound calls to prospective clients to introduce insurance products and generate new business leads.
- Handle inbound enquiries professionally, assessing client needs and recommending suitable coverage options.
- Follow up on quotes, renewals, and pending documentation to convert leads and retain existing clients.
- Explain policy terms, premiums, exclusions, and claims processes in plain, accurate language. Relationship Management
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Coordinate with insurers, underwriters, and adjusters to resolve client queries and claims-related matters.
- Liaise with internal teams (accounts, compliance, operations) to ensure seamless policy issuance and service. Administration & Compliance
- Accurately record call outcomes, client details, and follow-up actions in the CRM system.
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines including data privacy, anti-mis-selling rules, and disclosure requirements.
- Escalate complaints or complex cases promptly to the appropriate team member or supervisor.
- Meet daily/weekly call targets, lead conversion ratios, and quality benchmarks set by management. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in telecalling, telesales, or customer service — experience in insurance, financial services, or banking is a solid advantage.
- Familiarity with insurance products (life, health, motor, property, or commercial lines) is desirable.
- Experience working with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) is a plus. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Communication & Interpersonal
- Excellent verbal communication — clear, confident, and persuasive without being pushy.
- Active listening skills: able to identify client needs quickly and respond with appropriate solutions.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional regional languages is an advantage. Sales & Negotiation
- Comfortable with objection handling and able to turn hesitant prospects into engaged clients.
- Strong persuasion and closing skills with a consultative, needs-based approach.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work towards and consistently meet sales targets. Professional & Personal Attributes
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical selling practices.
- Patient, empathetic, and able to manage challenging or distressed clients calmly.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of daily interactions.
