Job Overview Intelligent Radiology Solutions Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Medical Coder with specialized experience in Interventional Radiology coding. This role offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to work remotely from the comfort of your home. The ideal candidate should possess strong coding experience along with expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. Candidates must have hands-on experience in Interventional Radiology coding, denial management, and Professional Fee coding workflows. Roles and Responsibilities
- Review medical records, including radiology reports, lab results, operative notes, and other relevant documents to accurately code procedures using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Accurately code Interventional Radiology records while ensuring maximum coding accuracy and productivity
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, payer-specific requirements, and industry standards for coding accuracy and completeness
- Utilize Epic software efficiently for coding operations and workflow management
- Review and resolve coding-related denials in a timely manner
- Handle Interventional Radiology denial management and appeals
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and internal teams to clarify diagnosis or procedure details when necessary
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Stay updated with changes in coding regulations, payer policies, industry guidelines, and technology
- Participate in coding quality reviews and support continuous process improvement initiatives Job Requirements
- 5+ years of recent coding experience in Interventional Radiology
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Experience in Professional Fee coding is preferred
- Proficiency in Epic software is mandatory
- CPC, CCS, CIRCC, RCC, or equivalent certification required
- Robust understanding of radiology anatomy, terminology, and vascular/interventional procedures
- Experience handling coding denials, appeals, and payer audits
- Excellent attention to detail and coding accuracy
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling complex IR and vascular procedures
- Familiarity with payer-specific coding guidelines and compliance audits
- Experience with coding quality reviews and productivity management
