Job Title Assistant PIU (Mobile Medical Unit Vehicle Driver) Grade I Department Program Implementation Unit- South Reporting to Assistant Manager PIU (Doctor) Location Rattihalli, Karnataka Contract duration June 2026 to March 2027 CHILD SAFEGUARDING (Strike out whichever is not applicable) Level 1: The role holder will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory unless the content or location of the role changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level will be reviewed. Level 2: Either the role holder will have access to personal data about children and/or young people as part of their work; or they will be working in a regulated position (Finance, Monitoring Evaluation, Legal etc.); therefore a police check will be required. Level 3: The role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in programs; or are visiting programs; therefore a police check will be required. ROLE PURPOSE Main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to implement activities under the project to ensure that Bal Raksha Bharat programme goals, objectives and policies are successfully implemented through the projects/programmes at the state level. SCOPE OF ROLE Scope: To provide door-step primary health services to rural communities of selected Villages in Rattihalli of Haveri district, Karnataka. Reports to: Assistant Manager PIU (Doctor) Staff reporting to this post: Yes Budget Responsibilities: NA Job Type: Full Time Role Dimensions Context: Development /Humanitarian Roles and Responsibilities:
- He will be responsible for driving and maintenance of Mobile Medical Van with smooth condition by adhering to all registration, insurance and other Road and Transport Authorities norms and conditions.
- The Driver will be reporting to the Project Coordinator and work closely with team and Project Assistant to follow the action plan and to reach all the planned project locations as per the planning.
- Maintenance of the vehicle, Equipment, Medicines and the all registers, Vehicle log book.
- Timely servicing and maintenance of the vehicle, following renewal of vehicle insurance/other legal documents as per the norms
- Follow the route map for the vehicle to cover all the planned villages on frequent intervals as per the working days.
- Coordinate and support the team in registration during the camps and special events (Whenever required).
- Support the team while organizing the health camps, maintenance of the crowd, as per the requirements BEHAVIOURS (Values in Practice) Accountability S/he should be accountable towards evaluating his/her performance or behavior related to work/community/children/society for which s/he is responsible. - At least 3-5 years driving experience in cities and working in early childhood education, working with NGOs, schools, community will be preferred.
