Mainframe Developer (COBOL/JCL) (Thanisandra)

Job Title: Mainframe Developer (COBOL/JCL) Experience Required: 4 to 7 years Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer with hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and CICS. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe applications, ensuring high performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of mainframe programs
- Work on batch job processing and job scheduling
- Handle production support, incident management, and issue resolution
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement fixes for recurring issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system enhancements
- Maintain proper documentation for applications and processes Required Skills:
- Strong experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and CICS
- Good understanding of mainframe architecture and batch processing
- Experience working in production support environments
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of DB2 (preferred)
- Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M) Soft Skills:
- Valuable communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
