Job Title: Mainframe Developer (COBOL/JCL)

Experience Required:

4 to 7 years

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer with hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and CICS. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and VSAM

Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Perform coding, testing, debugging, and implementation of mainframe programs

Work on batch job processing and job scheduling

Handle production support, incident management, and issue resolution

Conduct root cause analysis and implement fixes for recurring issues

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system enhancements

Maintain proper documentation for applications and processes

Required Skills:

Strong experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and CICS

Good understanding of mainframe architecture and batch processing

Experience working in production support environments

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of DB2 (preferred)

Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M)

Soft Skills:

Valuable communication skills

Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently and in a team
