Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Substation Design) (Haryana)

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Design Engineer with solid expertise in AIS/GIS substation design engineering for 33 kV to EHV systems. The candidate will be responsible for leading electrical design activities, reviewing engineering deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring timely execution of ongoing AC engineering projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design and engineering activities for 33 kV to EHV substations (AIS/GIS).
- Prepare and review:
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
- Equipment Layouts
- Cable Routing Layouts
- Earthing & Lightning Protection Layouts
- Perform and review:
- Electrical design calculations
- Load flow studies
- Short circuit analysis
- Protection coordination studies
- Prepare technical specifications, BOQ/BOM, and engineering documentation.
- Conduct vendor technical evaluations and review vendor drawings/documents.
- Coordinate with civil, protection, procurement, and site execution teams for smooth project delivery.
- Manage AC Engineering ongoing projects and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Maintain and manage Project MDL (Master Document List).
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, utility requirements, and safety regulations.
- Support project execution, commissioning coordination, and technical issue resolution. Required Skills & Expertise:
- Solid hands-on experience in substation design engineering above 33 kV.
- Expertise in AIS/GIS substation engineering and layout design.
- Knowledge of electrical system studies including load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination.
- Experience in preparation of BOQ/BOM and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with national and international standards such as IEC, IS, IEEE, and utility standards.
- Proficiency in engineering design tools and drafting software such as AutoCAD and ETAP/Power System Study software.
