Job Description: Production Quality Control Manager (Toy Manufacturing) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Quality Control Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control processes in our toy manufacturing operations, including finished goods inspection and shipment quality management. The ideal candidate will ensure all products meet safety standards, customer specifications, and company quality benchmarks while maintaining effective production flow and compliance with international toy safety regulations. Key Responsibilities Quality Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures across all stages of toy production and finished goods handling.
- Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process products, finished goods, and packaging before dispatch.
- Establish quality standards, testing procedures, and acceptance criteria for toys and packaging materials.
- Ensure proper labeling, barcode accuracy, carton quality, and export packing standards. Finished Goods Quality Control
- Manage finished goods inspection, approval, and release processes.
- Ensure final products meet customer specifications, safety standards, visual appearance, and packaging requirements before shipment.
- Coordinate pre-shipment inspections and container loading quality checks.
- Monitor warehouse handling practices to prevent damage or quality deterioration of finished goods.
- Maintain finished goods traceability and batch inspection records. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with applicable toy safety regulations and standards such as:
- ISO standards
- Coordinate product testing with internal teams and external laboratories.
- Maintain documentation related to audits, inspections, certifications, and compliance records. Production Support
- Work closely with production, sourcing, engineering, warehouse, and packaging teams to resolve quality issues.
- Identify root causes of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor production KPIs including defect rates, rework levels, customer complaints, finished goods rejection, and supplier quality performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve efficiency. Team Leadership
- Supervise and train QC inspectors and quality staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development.
- Promote a culture of quality awareness and accountability across the factory and warehouse operations. Supplier & Customer Coordination
- Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance.
- Handle customer quality concerns and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support client audits, factory inspections, and shipment quality approvals. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within manufacturing.
- Minimum 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience in toy manufacturing and finished goods quality management preferred.
- Strong understanding of toy safety regulations, packaging standards, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of quality tools such as:
- 5 Why Analysis
- Fishbone Diagram
- SPC
- AQL standards
