About the Role

A rare prospect to shape national semiconductor strategy at scale. As CTO for IDSPS's network of 9 Industry Co-development Centers, you will oversee cutting-edge R&D; across 9 strategic technology domains at India's premier institutions and translate that research into system-level prototypes at both hubs. You'll also lead the development of thousands of engineers through BTech, MTech, and PhD programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish R&D; and education infrastructure across 9 IITs, IISc, and BITS Pilani

• Manage globally competitive R&D; programs in 9 IDSPS strategic technologies

• Co-develop next-generation technologies with 30–100 industry partners in consortium mode

• Oversee the development of a skilled workforce at BTech, MTech, and PhD levels

• Ensure ICC R&D; outputs support national prototype test-vehicles at IITGN and IITBBS hubs

• Coordinate technology transfer to the Advanced Packaging and Power Electronics Hubs

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in semiconductors, packaging, or systems technologies

• 10–20 years of combined academic and industry experience in semiconductor or package manufacturing (OSAT and power electronics preferred)

• Demonstrated expertise in one or more of IDSPS's 9 strategic research areas

• Exceptional program leadership skills across multi-institutional, multi-partner settings
