Role & responsibilities Project Execution & Coordination
- Support the planning and execution of the SHG-led rural distribution initiative across target geographies.
- Coordinate with consultants, implementation partners, NGOs, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project progress.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and field execution activities.
- Assist in developing scalable operating models for rural door-to-door distribution. Consultant Alignment & Evaluation
- Coordinate with external consultants and implementation agencies working on the project.
- Evaluate consultant recommendations based on business feasibility, scalability, and ground realities.
- Support vendor/partner assessment and performance reviews. Research & Market Insights
- Conduct preliminary research on:
- Rural consumer buying behaviour and consumption trends
- FMCG rural distribution models
- SHG ecosystem and rural livelihood structures
- Regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the initiative
- Analyse rural market data and derive actionable insights for the project. Innovation & Technology Integration
- Identify opportunities to integrate technology into the initiative, including:
- Digital ordering and payment mechanisms
- Data collection and field productivity tools
- Work with internal/external tech teams to evaluate practical implementation opportunities. Field & Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with field sales teams and rural stakeholders to understand operational challenges.
- Support pilot launches and on-ground activation activities.
- Build strong relationships with SHG groups and local ecosystem partners. Preferred candidate profile
- 5+ years of experience in FMCG, rural distribution, or channel development
- Experience working in rural markets is strongly preferred
- Exposure to social-impact initiatives, SHG programs, or rural entrepreneurship models is an advantage
- Strong understanding of FMCG sales and distribution systems
- Knowledge of rural consumer behaviour and market dynamics
- Project management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Analytical and research-oriented mindset
- Ability to evaluate operational feasibility and execution challenges
- Interest in technology-led rural solutions and AI applications
- Solid communication and field engagement skills
