Summary As a Consulting Architect - Cloud Infrastructure , you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures. You will provide architectural leadership throughout the full lifecycle—from discovery and solution design to implementation oversight and optimization—ensuring alignment with industry best practices and enterprise standards. This role requires strong customer-facing skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders whileensuring successful delivery of modern, automated cloud platforms.Key Responsibilities Lead Design workshops with Infrastructure Teams. Translate Business requirements into VMware-based solutions. Develop High Level and Low-Level Design Documents. Guide Senior and Lead Consultants during the deployment phase. Conduct Knowledge transfer sessions for customers.Define project requirements/issues/constraints with PMs. Collaborate with security teams to implement compliance and security controls within the SDDC environment. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and performance issues across compute, storage, and networking layers. Provide technical leadership , mentoring , and governance to engineering and operations teams.Participate in solution design workshops, client engagements, and architecture reviews. Stay current with industry trends and lead internal initiatives in regard to optimizations and enhancements of current solutions, frameworks and processes. Required Qualifications Candidate should have 10+ years of relevant professional experience.Strong expertise in: VMware vSphere, VMware NSX-T, VMware vSAN, SDDC Manager Experience designing enterprise private cloud environments. Solid understanding of: Software-defined networking, Storage virtualization, High availability and disaster recovery, Security and micro-segmentation Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Cross operating system knowledge and experience in both Linux and Windows. This Position requires travel within India. Preferred Qualifications (highly valued) 5+ in technical leading/architecture role Experience and/or certifications in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platform and VMware product portfolio, VCF 9 preferred.Experience working with remote customers supporting APJ and/or EMEA regions. Experience in solution design definitions or adjustments.
