About the Company
The Manager, Clinical Cost Strategy is responsible for designing, managing, and communicating robust analytical frameworks to translate the clinical delivery operating model into transparent and actionable cost structures for outsourced clinical work. The role works cross-functionally with Strategic Partnerships and Outsourcing, Clinical Operations, Procurement and other internal/external stakeholder groups to ensure that cost modeling and analytics drive strategic decision-making, financial predictability and accuracy for clinical trials.

The Manager, Clinical Cost Strategy is responsible for designing, managing, and communicating robust analytical frameworks to translate the clinical delivery operating model into transparent and actionable cost structures for outsourced clinical work.
Responsibilities
Analytical Cost Structure & Modeling
Translate operating models, resourcing plans, and partnership arrangements into detailed cost frameworks for internal review and external supplier negotiations.
Ensure frameworks are adaptable and fit for purpose.
Support development of contracting strategies with differing operating model approaches.
Optimize and refine cost templates, standards, and analytical tools to support accurate, data-driven cost design, forecasting and accuracy for outsourced clinical activities.
Identify opportunities for workflow automation, improved data clarity, and increased productivity using technology solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain tools—primarily in Excel using VBA—to support SPO/CPO deliverables.
Build seamless integrations between Excel (via VBA) and external/commercial databases, enabling bi-directional data flows and robust automation.
Develop technical solutions to meet cost data needs from service providers, including translating business requirements through close communication with stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
