Role Description The Area Technical Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Hosur, responsible for overseeing technical operations and support across a designated area or cluster of branches. This role involves managing and coordinating the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of banking systems, networks, ATMs, and other technology infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance. The Area Technical Manager will collaborate with branch teams, vendors, and central IT to address technical issues, implement upgrades, and support new technology deployments in line with regulatory and security standards. The role includes monitoring system performance, maintaining documentation, ensuring timely resolution of service requests, and providing guidance and training to local staff on technology use and basic troubleshooting. The position also requires regular on-site visits, reporting on technical risks and incidents, and contributing to continuous improvement of technology processes to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Qualifications
- Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, end-user devices, and banking applications, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Experience in managing ATM, branch banking systems, and related technology, including coordination with vendors and service providers for installation, maintenance, and support.
- Knowledge of information security, data protection, and regulatory compliance standards relevant to banking technology operations.
- Proven skills in stakeholder management, with the ability to work closely with branch teams, central IT, and external partners to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, including prioritizing multiple service requests and projects across different locations.
- Effective communication and reporting skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues and prepare concise status updates.
- Experience leading or mentoring technical staff, with a focus on developing local capabilities in basic troubleshooting and technology usage.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., networking, systems administration) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a banking or financial services setting, particularly in branch or area-level technology management, is highly beneficial.
