Senior BI / Data Analytics Engineer – SAP BusinessObjects Location: Remote – India Employment Type: Contract Shift Timing: Must be available to overlap with US EST hours (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST) Experience Required: 6–8 years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering roles with strong hands-on expertise in SAP BusinessObjects and enterprise data warehousing environments. Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior BI / Data Analytics Engineer with deep expertise in SAP BusinessObjects and Snowflake to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade reporting and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical proficiency in BI reporting, SQL optimization, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes, with the ability to transform complex data into meaningful business insights. Key Responsibilities BI Development Design, develop, and maintain complex reports and universes using SAP BusinessObjects tools including WebI and IDT/UDT. Develop scalable and high-performing reporting solutions aligned with business requirements. Data Modeling & Optimization Build and optimize data models, views, and advanced SQL queries within Snowflake. Ensure data performance, scalability, and reliability across reporting environments. Data Integration Collaborate on ETL/ELT processes to load, transform, and orchestrate data into Snowflake. Work with integration tools such as Matillion, Informatica, SSIS, or Alteryx. Data Quality & Support Troubleshoot data accuracy issues, reporting inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks. Support production issues, system enhancements, and platform upgrades. Business Collaboration Gather and analyze business requirements and convert them into intuitive reporting and analytics solutions. Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable business intelligence. Documentation Maintain detailed documentation of data models, transformations, reporting logic, and architecture. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong hands-on expertise with SAP BusinessObjects Suite (WebI, IDT/UDT). Solid experience working with Snowflake cloud data warehouse. Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills. Experience with ETL/Data Integration tools such as Matillion, Informatica, SSIS, or Alteryx. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling. Knowledge of BI architecture and reporting best practices. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Solid communication and stakeholder management abilities. Nice to Have Hands-on experience with Matillion ETL. Exposure to enterprise ERP systems. Experience working in global or distributed teams. Preferred Candidate Profile Self-driven professional capable of working independently in a remote setup.
