Job Title: Production Manager – Machine Shop Location: Dewas M.P. Job Type: Full-time Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee machine shop operations and ensure smooth production processes. The role involves managing production schedules, optimizing machine utilization, supervising shop-floor teams, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning
- Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
- Ensure efficient utilization of CNC, VMC, lathe, and machining equipment
- Monitor production targets and delivery timelines Team & Resource Management
- Supervise machine operators, supervisors, and machinists
- Manage manpower allocation and shift planning
- Support team training and performance improvement Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in machining operations
- Monitor production efficiency and downtime Technical Operations
- Coordinate with tooling and programming teams for machining support
- Assist in resolving machining and production issues
- Ensure proper implementation of machining processes and standards Safety & Maintenance
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and shop-floor discipline
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities to reduce machine downtime
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Good understanding of machining operations and production processes Required Skills
- Knowledge of CNC/VMC machining operations
- Understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawings
- Production planning and manpower management
- Problem-solving and coordination skills
