We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager-Production to oversee and optimize Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing processes at our facility. This role involves ensuring efficient production, quality compliance, and adherence to safety standards.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Lead and supervise a team of production operators and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily API production schedules to meet targets and deadlines, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
- Implement and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory guidelines throughout the production process.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
- Participate in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch records.
- Ensure all production activities comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and support the professional development of team members.
- Prepare and present production reports to management, highlighting key metrics and achievements. Job Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
- 5-8 years of experience in API manufacturing, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of cGMP, EHS regulations, and other relevant pharmaceutical industry standards.
- Proven experience in managing production processes, including batch manufacturing, purification, and drying.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
